JobMath Pro started with a simple frustration: every home project begins with the same question — how much do I need? — and the answers online are either buried in forums, locked behind contractor quotes, or just wrong.
So we built ten calculators covering the most common homeowner and contractor projects: concrete, mulch, gravel, paint, fencing, roofing, decking, flooring, drywall, and sod. Each one uses standard trade math — the same formulas contractors use — with realistic waste factors and plain-English guidance on measuring, materials, and costs.
How we make money
The calculators are free and always will be. When you request quotes through our site, we share your project details with up to 3 local pros, who pay us a fee for the introduction. That's it. We don't sell your data to anyone else, we don't run shared-lead auctions where five contractors call you at dinner, and we tell you exactly what happens with your information before you submit anything.
Our math standards
Every calculator on this site shows its formula. We use conservative, widely accepted trade figures — 27 cubic feet per cubic yard, 350 square feet per gallon of paint per coat, three shingle bundles per square — and we default waste factors to the high side of realistic. We'd rather you end up with a spare bag than a stalled project.
That said, these are planning estimates, not engineering. Always verify quantities with your supplier or contractor, follow local building codes, and get professional help for structural, electrical, and roofing work.
